There are moments in life that transcend the realm of color.  Black and white for me, speaks to history, to the reality of things as they are.  Being one of the last generations to grow up with black and white imagery evident on the walls and in the family books, I find I look to carry on with black and white to tell my stories.

I have always been enamored by the toning of prints through out history and the processes of doing so,  both for its archival properties as well as conveying emotion and adding a warmth to an otherwise stark scene through black and white.
